GWC Helpdesk
Contact GWCAbdoul Karim Sow is seconded by iMMAP to the Global WASH Cluster (GWC) Field Support Team as WASH Information Manager - Helpdesk and Surge Support.
Before joining the GWC, he was in secondment to Nutrition Cluster in South Sudan. During his humanitarian experience, Abdoul Karim worked for OCHA for 5 years. He was responsible for the helpdesk and capacity building roles for the Online Reporting System (ORS) platform for the nine Sahel countries. He was deployed to Burundi to support the office with information management and for MIRA (Multi-sectorial Initial Rapid Assessment). He was deployed to support the Resident coordinator offices in Burkina Faso and Mauritania and, to Cameroon for the Northwest/Southwest crisis. He joined UNICEF office in Central Africa Republic, in 2019, as information management specialist for the WASH Cluster where he assumed the role of cluster coordinator at interim. He joined iMMAP as Senior information management Coordinator for Directory and Information Management System (DIMS) project targeting Civil society organizations acting in the Lake Chad Basin region.
Abdoul Karim holds a master’s degree in IT audit, information systems and engineering. He is fluent in English, French, Wolof and Peulh.
