Ewan joined the FST on February 6th 2017, seconded with Oxfam as a WASH Cluster Coordinator - during this time has been deployed to Myanmar - refugee crisis from Bangladesh ; North East Syria - IDPs ; Cox's Bazaar - Refugees , preparedness for Floods and Cholera; Cameroon - Conflict displacement; Jordon  - support to Yemen; Niger -  capacity building;  North West Syria in 2018 and 2020 due to large scale displacement. Sudan Darfur large scale displacement due to conflict ; Lebanon due to economic collapse ;South Sudan Bentiu - flood response and Somalia sub - national support due to impending famine.

Prior to this was with UNICEF Ethiopia as Chief of Office twice, Emergency Coordinator  and 5 and half years as WASH Cluster Coordinator, double hatting as Emergency WASH.

Prior to this 10 years with MSF/Holland as Logistic Coordinator/WASH and Head of Mission.

He holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Studies and a MA in Disaster Management.
